Getting busted smoking cannabis

Being a single mom with a teenage child is quite a challenge.

I’m not complaining, I cherish Josh and being his mom is the best thing that ever happened to me.

But it’s still hard at times. I have never been a teenage boy before, so I can only imagine how hard it is these afternoons, with social media and the rise in online bullying. When the school year ended, Josh had a few of his friends come over for a party. Trying to be the best mom I stayed out of the way and let them have run of the house. I went out into the side yard to smoke some cannabis, thinking no one would notice. Much to my surprise I saw Jake, one of my son’s friends, already smoking cannabis in the yard. He tried to hide it, but anyone who has smelled the sharp scent of cannabis will know it from 12 feet away. I told him to go ahead and finish it, and after that I lit up my own cannabis. I asked Jake if his mom knew he smoked cannabis. He admitted that she did not know, and that he had stolen the cannabis from her secret stash. I knew his mom already, and had smoked marijuana with them more than 3 times in the past. I told him that I wouldn’t tell his parents, so long as he didn’t tell Jake that I was smoking cannabis. He laughed and finished her joint, then turned to me and said “your kid already knows you smoke cannabis, dude.”

Ted’s grandparents are lovely old people.

  • Not only are they aging and suffering from dementia, but they are also on a fixed income, and barely have enough money to survive.

Still, they send Ted a birthday card every year with a dollar in it. A crisp, new dollar bill, every year. It actually means a lot more than the money, because a dollar is a lot for them. Every year Ted takes their one dollar and buys a lottery scratcher. This year he finally picked a winner. That one dollar was transformed into one hundred dollars, and Ted knew just what to do with it. He went to the nearest cannabis dispensary and started shopping for deals. Je wanted to get all the cannabis products he could, but in the spirit of his grandparents he wanted to be economical and get the most for the money. He asked the budtender if they had any special sales going on, and learned that a current strain of OG Kush was discounted by 25%. She then pointed him to a table in the back littered with discounted items like cannabis drinks and vape cartridges getting ready to expire. Ted was fortunate enough to find several packages of sour apple cannabis gummies that were BOGO (buy one, get one free)! By the time he left he had spent all his birthday money, and a little extra, and had a nice large bag full of cannabis products. Ted hopes his grandparents would approve, however they don’t smoke cannabis themselves.

In the future Missy will be the ultimate destination for cannabis

Why should a cannabis dispensary limit itself to just selling jars of weed? That’s a lovely start, and for most people it’s enough – but not for Missy. She is a completist, and when she does something Missy wants it to be the best. She opened her little shop some months ago with the goal of becoming a franchise, and the most popular weed destination in town. There are many other dispensaries in the city, so she has so much competition. Missy succeeded by going the extra mile and doing things the other stores won’t do. Taking growing units as an example. For all those other cannabis shops around here, none of them had growing units in stock to sell, it had to be special order only. Missy filled that niche and became the top seller for marijuana grow lights and insta-grow pots in the area. She decided to take it a step further and offer gardening classes on the weekend, to teach people the best practices for growing cannabis plants at home. She needs to keep growing and expanding, so her next idea is a cannabis smoker’s lounge, although that one will take a year to put together. Imagine having a cool lounge where you can hang out, listen to music, play games, and enjoy cannabis products? In the future Missy will be the ultimate destination for cannabis, and have something for potheads of all types. What ideas would you like to see instituted in her cannabis shop? Hit her up in the comments and let her know.

My sister wanted to be a cannabis delivery driver.

When she turned fourteen, my sister was anxious to get a job.

She checked all over our town, but no one would hire someone who wasn’t at least sixteen. My mom told her to wait until she got her driver’s license, and then she could get a job. My sister said she may as well wait until she was eighteen, because she had to be in by dark with the cinderella license in our state. When she turned sixteen, she got a job at a small business about two blocks from where our dad lives. Now, she could wait until she turned eighteen. She wanted to be a cannabis delivery driver. She told me cannabis delivery drivers make a lot of money, and they get good tips. I wanted to know how she knew this, and she told me someone came into the store where she works. He was talking about his job as a marijuana delivery driver, and he made it sound really cool. She wanted to be a cannabis delivery driver when she turned eighteen. I don’t know where she came up with the magic number of eighteen, because I thought you had to be twenty-one to work in any capacity with medical or recreational marijuana. I wasn’t going to tell her, because she accused me of not wanting her to work as a marijuana delivery driver. I didn’t, but what she doesn’t know, won’t hurt me. The last time I tried to sway her in one of her hair-brained ideas, she punched me so hard, she injured a rib, and I’m almost five years older and seventy-five pounds heavier than she is.

Reunion was saved with a trip to the cannabis dispensary

It was getting bad, plus somebody just had to do something. So me plus my highschool boyfriend Max jumped into his vehicle plus headed to the local cannabis spot. It had been such a long, long time since I had been in the place that I didn’t definitely know my way around anymore. For sure, there were no cannabis dispensaries back when Max and I were in highschool. And the village had grown so much that it was now this very trendy, small city, Max had stayed put so he was all in when I suggested some recreational marijuana, and local cannabis products have been legal for anyone of age here for seven years now. But that’s not what brought me back to my apartment town. It was my 20th highschool reunion that brought me back. The committee who put it all together definitely went far out of their way to get it right. I was so impressed with the turnout plus indeed, it was good to see everyone at the party. That said, it got boring real quick. And I was for sure not interested in being stone, cold sober for an evening of too much back-slapping. So off Max and I made the decision to go to the local cannabis spot. It was genuinely so nice to spend some time with someone like Max, who I’ve genuinely stayed close with all of these years. Max has turned out to be quite the dear friend. It was so much fun genuinely shopping for marijuana for sale together. When Max and I were dating, my pal and I wouldn’t have known the right end of a joint to light. And yet, here Max and I were getting a bunch of cannabis edibles for any plus all who wanted to indulge. Sure enough, it was those edibles that saved our 20th highschool reunion.

Cannabis is a huge part of my recent focus

I knew I wasn’t going to avoid the inevitable.

Eventually I knew that I was going to have to address the status of my failing health.

I was just hoping that a heart attack didn’t beat me to it. Thankfully, that hasn’t been the case yet. But there are nights with this new focus on fitness that I wonder if my heart is just going to collapse, or explode. Thanks to trips to the local cannabis spot, I’ve got a tool to lean on when it comes to health, perspective plus perseverance right now. The main thing for me is to simply not quit. And man, it’s so hard. I’ve never been confused with being athletic however I was active at least. That is until I entered my late 30’s plus my life became so much more sedentary. This was a huge thing for me. That plus indulging my appetites with every whim. But with help from some sativa strains plus indica products, I’m able to continue to keep on with my fitness quest. Honestly, like I want to be fit plus be active as I get older. Being almost 50, I know that it’s sort of now or never. And I see why given how taxing this has been these first few months. The indica strain though sure helps my body reuse plus provide me improved range of motion. Then, the sativa strain I get from the local cannabis spot keeps my head in the game. There is just something about sativa products that keep me smiling, in the moment plus not being afraid of what’s coming next. With trips to the local cannabis spot, I’m going to get to my fitness goals for certain.

Should I call an online marketer for social media ads?

I had been reading quite a bit about online social media ads.

I remembered my mom using social media ads to announce the drop of her new children’s books.

I thought she did all the social media ads on her own, and thought I should be able to do the same. When someone mentioned using social media ads for the cannabis dispensary where I worked, I almost offered my assistance. I told the manager how familiar I was with social media ads. He was new to the cannabis dispensary business, but he was pretty sure all of our social media ads had to be placed professionally. After talking to my mom about her social media ads, she told me she used an online marketing company. They created her website and an ad campaign on social media websites. It was expensive, but it helped her sell enough books to be on the best seller list. He thanked me for the information, but said he would deal with it through the online marketing company. I asked if I should call an online marketer for him. I was sure the company my mom used would have a cannabis dispensary marketing specialist. He asked if I would like the job of assistant manager. Anyone who was as anxious to help with online marketing as I was, should have a position that had more responsibility than checking IDs when someone came into the building. I was glad I didn’t need to do the social media ads or talk to the online marketing company. I had enough to do taking care of inventory and helping out with the training of employees.

Internet marketing cannabis dispensary

My website needed work.

I felt like my full-time job wasn’t being a business manager, but calling my website development team to make constant changes.

I have worked as a manager at the same cannabis dispensary for three years now.

I thought my job would be a bit easier once I had a full team and my online marketing team knew what I expected. Lately, there have been a lot of changes in how we do business. Due to the pandemic, we had to change how we did business. I had to call the online marketing company to have them change our lobby rules. We needed to let people know there was no contact delivery and pick up. We opened a drive-thru window so people didn’t need to come into the dispensary. Every time a small change came through from the parent company, I had to notify my online marketing company. I finally broke down and asked my boss why the parent company didn’t put the information out to the online marketing company and have them do the changes for us. I was sure the parent company knew who did all the marketing for his franchises. He said it was up to the manager. Now I had to make changes because we were offering delivery services. It was going to be easier for shut-ins, because they could go on the website and get all their marijuana products. We would send someone out to deliver their marijuana products. I liked this was something new we were offering, but I felt like a nuisance to our online marketing company, because they were learning who I was just from the sound of my voice.

Using marijuana makes sense now

I had some real big hangups when I was first introduced to recreational marijuana.

It had everything to do with where my head was about cannabis back in the day.

I grew up in a truly small, rural & religious community! Cannabis was referred to as “the devil’s weed” & there was no tongue & cheek humor to that reference. Weed was evil & that’s all there was to it. So when I went off to a state university in a large city, I was unprepared for the eventuality of an offer to smoke some recreational marijuana. Of course, I declined & then immediately I bolted from that party. While I was still sure that cannabis was evil, I knew for a certainty that it was illegal. And for me, that meant no way was I even getting close to any sativa or indica. That’s the way it was for me for a very long time. However, I started to learn more about the facts when it comes to using cannabis products. This came about during the period of time when medical marijuana was first being introduced in our state. This measure was a rousing success & there were so many people who were suffering that finally got relief from the cannabis products they needed, ultimately, that is what led to recreational marijuana being legalized. I knew now that there was nothing evil or immoral about a plant & recreational marijuana was legal. So it hastily dawned on me that I was free to pop my head into the local cannabis spot just to see what weed was all about. I did just that & I’m so blissful that I did. I have found that I legit like the sativa strains. So now, I have a supply of sativa sitting right inside my fridge.

Meds failed me however cannabis never will

I can remember the day my mother found my stash of recreational marijuana when I was at her house for the summer vacation from university. This fell between my junior & senior year. I had taken an intern position at a local firm by my house as sort of a nod to my folks. This was more their decision than it was mine. But since they were paying for tuition, I was cheerful to get some work experience in my field from a local contractor with attachments to my folks. Wow, was she ever completely livid about finding my cannabis. And it was just the tiniest amount. Had she known the actual amount of marijuana I usually smoke in university, she’d have had a stroke. Still, it resulted in me getting hauled into therapy. My folks were particularly concerned that I was harmed or something & were hellbent on straightening me out. This is why I put down the OG kush & picked up the anti-depressant meds. And I was on the merry go round for the better part of 16 years. Now that recreational marijuana is legal here, I’ve swapped the medicine for the sativa, indica & hybrid strains for sale at the local cannabis spot. And I couldn’t be more pleased with my swap. For the longest time, the meds just weren’t helping. And now, I’m much happier, more productive & far more excited about what’s coming next than I’ve ever been in my life. It has been such a relief to know that I was spot on about cannabis products all those years ago. My mom is still alive & while she would still have flipped her lid over my shopping for marijuana for sale, I simply don’t care.
