The dispensary’s cannabis delivery services are getting taxed during the pandemic

Getting deliveries of any kind is getting harder as the pandemic nears its peak of intensity. People who weren’t getting deliveries two months ago are now taxing the system as they flock to getting everything from their restaurant take-out meals to hardware store products delivered to their front doors. In the past I rarely had problems getting my grocery lists fulfilled with no problems, but now it seems like there are always a handful of items that the delivery technician can’t find on the shelves. They’ll offer to grab a replacement item, but not in every situation. Often they’re so busy with so many orders that you don’t find out something is missing until you look for it in your bags. You can’t exactly expect me to approve replacing sour cream with cottage cheese, and I still can’t wrap my head around the thought process that somehow rationalizes a decision like that. And on top of the issue related to getting my entire order fulfilled, the delivery drivers are also imprecise with their delivery time estimates. I’ll be expecting the delivery to arrive at 1pm some random afternoon, only to be left waiting for hours on end with no updates. This exact same scenario occurred with my cannabis delivery yesterday. I made an order with the cannabis dispensary and was hoping to get everything before heading to work in the morning, but the driver didn’t show up until early in the evening. I was already home from work for an hour that evening when I finally received the text message from the delivery driver notifying me that he had pulled into my driveway. It’s nice not going into the actual cannabis dispensary to get my products, but I can’t stand waiting like this for hours on end. The marijuana dispensary needs to give better estimates for their deliveries.
