The dispensary parking lot was filled with people
My son and I were on our way home from a dentist appointment and I noticed a long line of people waiting at the red light to turn right.
All of the cars were turning into the parking lot of a recreational marijuana dispensary.
The entire recreational marijuana dispensary parking lot was filled with people and cars. We saw a DJ from the radio station as well as a couple of different food trucks. My son wanted to go check out the festivities, but I didn’t think it was appropriate for a fifteen year old kid. There was a large group of balloons tied to the telephone pole in front of the marijuana dispensary. People were coming in and out of the building while we sat at the light. Later that evening, I was watching the news and there was a story about the recreational marijuana dispensary. I found out that the celebration was a party to honor the one-year anniversary of the opening of the store. The marijuana dispensary was offering free items with every purchase and they were having giveaways every hour on the hour. The marijuana dispensary was also having a sale on every item inside of the shop. I’m not surprised the parking lot was filled with people after seeing the news story. Since the laws have changed, dispensaries have been popping up all across the city and region. This was the first dispensary in our city, but two more shops have opened since then. A third place is currently being built over by the mall.
