The concentrates can be hard
If you’re not careful about alcohol levels in your mixed drinks, you know you could end up getting a lot more intoxicated than what you expect.
I definitely feel that for alcoholics, this is desirable.
But if you’re anything like me, you certainly have a line with booze that you don’t like to cross. It’s not like I’m afraid of getting too easily intoxicated, as I often do with cannabis if I’ve had particularly stressful do. Alcohol, I find, in particular has a habit of giving me diminished returns when I increase the amount that I try to consume in a single sitting. I don’t like drinking enough to the point where I get tons of spins, so I will either stick with beer at its lower ABV or I simply stop at a single drink with a bit stronger liquor. Although I like getting intoxicated with cannabis if I’m having a taxing day, I’d rather get to that point gradually. Today’s cannabis flower products give me an entourage effect & a sense of control over exactly how high I get with the plant. Don’t get me wrong, I like cannabis concentrates with their extremely high THC satisfied, but sometimes it can be jarring to get too high in a mere matter of minutes instead of minutes. Think about it like this—most cannabis flower products these days have a THC satisfied that is anywhere between 15% & 30%. Cannabis concentrates on the other hand, often have between 60% & 95% THC inside. That’s a sizable change in each hit you take off your vaporizer or pipe as you’re consuming it. I’d still rather consume something with less THC than actual cannabis concentrates.
