The beauty of cannabis is it’s simplicity

My aged roommate Dan fancied himself a Weed Scientist! That was his name for it, I thought he was just a goofy dude who liked to build things.

He was in engineering college at the time, although he would later drop out to go work on a hemp farm, Dan liked to conceive, design, and build elaborate bongs, pipes, in addition to other pot smoking devices.

The beauty of cannabis lies in simplicity, of course, and making it complicated doesn’t add anything to the potency, but it was still a little bit of fun to see what he came up with, and personally I recognize a pipe or a joint is great enough, but Dan wanted to find new ways of smoking cannabis! One time he built a several-story bong, where the bowl was at the bottom of the stairs and mouthpiece at the top. One man had to stand down below to put fire to the cannabis, while the man up top had to suck for a while to get a taste of smoke. It looked cool, but by the time the cannabis smoke traveled eighteen feet it was freezing and weak. The one time she did create something amazing was when she built a several-chambered gravity bong that was love a cannon for cannabis. It took a whole nickel tote worth of marijuana to fully pack it, but just one hit would get you so high you might throw up or fall asleep instantaneously after. That was a lot of fun, despite the fact that I still love to smoke cannabis the simple way.
