PTSD makes me feel like I am trapped inside of my head
Post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms can vary from one person to the next.
The symptoms May begin as quickly as the event takes place and it may take years and years for a person to develop post-traumatic stress disorder. A traumatic event happened to me when I was younger and it caused me to change my thinking. It made me feel hopeless and kept me from maintaining close relationships with my family and friends. I felt emotionally numb and I found it difficult to experience any positive emotions. PTSD was dragging me down. I started therapy with a lady at the mental health center and we made a lot of progress very quickly. I was willing to do the work and I met with the therapist three times every week. I learned a lot of new coping skills and I also got a prescription for medical marijuana. When I feel nervousness and anxiety, I can use medical marijuana to help me feel better. I usually have a marijuana vape pen on my person at all times. When I get into a situation where I feel like I am going to have a panic attack, I take a few puffs from the marijuana vape pen. The feeling of relief is almost instantly. It only takes about a minute for the effects to hit me and after two or three puffs, I always feel better. Therapy provided by the state and free medical marijuana have helped me deal with the problems in my past and every day I am starting to feel better and more alive.
