My mom & dad do not understand life
When my sister moved away from home, she started drinking & doing drugs. My mom & dad were honestly frustrated & disappointed. My sister spent 5 years in a rehab program & she finally got clean. Now the dentist has her taking medical marijuana to help fight the drug dependence & to help with the underlying conditions that led my sister down such a dark path. I suppose she always suffered from depression. When the two of us were kids, she used to sit alone in her room for hours. She never wanted to hang out with friends or go to the park. She got sadder & sadder, but my parents just said she was going through puberty. Ever since my sister has gotten clean & started using medical marijuana, she has been a totally & completely uncommon person. My mom & dad still suppose she is using drugs, because they consider marijuana to be a drug. I suppose it’s absolutely wonderful that my sister is feeling better. If that;s due to a plant that naturally grows, then the two of us hope she smokes weed for the rest of her life. She has energy & mental clarity & she maintains a full time task. She sees her children on the weekend. She is even talking about trying to get custody again, so the girls can live full time with her. I suppose the positive swings are due to treating an illness that has been there her whole life. If my parents would have treated her depression early on, maybe my sister would not have turned to drinking & drugs in the first site. That’s a single sizable reason why I wish they wouldn’t judge her for marijuana now.
