My first attempt at growing cannabis was a failure

I never really was an expert when it came to growing plants, but I did want to try my hand at marijuana growing.

I always loved smoking marijuana and sometimes I would find seeds in my cannabis bud.

Instead of throwing away the seeds, I decided to keep them to see if I could grow some good marijuana. I ended up throwing some seeds into some containers of soil with a small grow light in my closet. This was basically my grow room, but it was incredibly small and the cannabis plants were not getting a good amount of light. It seemed like the cannabis plants were growing okay, but I knew nothing when it came to growing marijauna. I wasn’t giving the cannabis plants fertilizer, I was only watering them. Eventually, they started to turn a yellow color and then they finally died. When I went to the cannabis dispensary, I started talking to a budtender about my failed experience with my grow room. He asked questions about my grow room like the dimensions, the strains of cannabis I was using, the lighting, and the ventilation. When he saw the look on my face, he could tell I was a total amateur. He calmed my worries and said we all have been there at some point when we are first learning to grow marijuana. He explained that I needed proper ventilation for my grow room, fertilizer for the plants, and good lighting. He laughed when I told him about the small compact fluorescent I was using. He said I could use something like that for cloning, but not for bringing up sizable cannabis plants. He also said that if I was going to use a small space like a closet, I would want to go with a sea of green approach for my marijuana growing. I learned so much from this guy and eventually I grew a crop of cannabis plants that was pretty darn good.
