Medical marijuana made my brother smile again
I barely remember the vivacious brother I took under our wing when he was angry or hurt over something one of his friends said.
- He used to laugh at everything and brought a smile to the face of almost everyone who had the chance to know him! Over the years, he had lost half his body weight, and the cancer was eating at his body.
He had already experienced many rounds of chemotherapy, and he had recently begun a second round! When the doctor mentioned he had to go through chemo again, I started looking for ways to ease the nausea that came with it. The nausea was the worst for her, and he lost so much weight. Two weeks later, we were at the cannabis dispensary to get his first dose of marijuana, and medical marijuana was good for so many things, although I didn’t realize it helped with the effects of chemo. His first use of marijuana products provided him some comfort, but every time he used his marijuana products, he saw more progress. I knew he wasn’t as positive of his prognosis this time, he was feeling better and smiling thanks to the medical marijuana. I only wished I had thought of medical marijuana the first many times he underwent chemotherapy.
