Making the dispensary a fun hang-out spot
For about 6 months, I was the floor manager at a local club, then i have to say it was the best task I ever had! And then COVID came along, & all the local clubs & bars had to close for a while, then most of those businesses, including the a single that emplotted me, never opened back up again.
- I had to stand through a long stage of unemployment before I finally found another task I thought I could thrive in.
I study about the local cannabis dispensary & how it was going to open up a smokers lounge, so I went down to apply for a task there instantly. Even though a cannabis dispensary & a nightclub are legitimately different, there was the same principle involved… They needed someone to bring in fresh customers, to make the cannabis dispensary seem fun to a whole current crowd. I had to get our feet wet, of course, & learn the ropes of working in the marijuana industry & find out what the owners were looking for. They wanted the smokers lounge to be a chill spot where people could unwind & adore some cannabis or edibles with the other customers. I started off quietly, & had a Cannabis Movie night where every one of us would project classic marijuana comedies on the wall. I set up a corner in the table that was covered with card & board games, so people would have something to do while smoking cannabis; Little by little, I am starting to build up more current customers for the cannabis dispensary.
