I’m not sure how the order was mixed up

Everyday at the medical marijuana dispensary, my co-workers and I service about a hundred different customers.

During the weekend days of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, that number can be doubled. When it is the weekend, we tend to be very busy. We are on our customers to order online and pick up in the store, because it saves a lot of time. If the customer orders online, they receive a text message when the order is ready. If they show up at the dispensary with the text message, they can skip the entire line and pick up their order as long as it is ready. That pickup system is one of the reasons why the lobby is rarely packed with patience waiting to pick up medical marijuana supplies. Unfortunately, there are days when we are busy and patients have to wait. One of our patients was waiting to pick up a medical marijuana order that they placed online. While the gentleman was waiting for his order, someone else picked up the items. I’m not sure how the order was mixed up and it was hard to get to the bottom of the problem when the store was packed with patience. I apologize we asked the guy to wait while we refilled the order a second time. Thankfully, the patient was very kind and reasonable and did not mind waiting 10 extra minutes for the items he ordered online. Other patients might have caused a scene or gotten angry, but this guy was patient, calm, and kind. I threw a free 2 gram pre roll into the bag when he was leaving the store.
