I was missing out on smoking cannabis for all these years
When I was a teen, there were plenty of chances for myself and others to appreciate the use of recreational marijuana.
This was long before there was a legal cannabis designation like medical marijuana.
Back in those afternoons, whoever used marijuana was a stoner & wouldn’t amount to much. That was the narrative around a completely safe, non addictive plant. Yet, you’d have thought that a simple weed called cannabis was the devil incarnate when I was younger. So by the time I went to college & marijuana was being used pretty freely, I just totally steered clear. Honestly, I spent almost the whole time in college avoiding fun by sticking to the library. While I got a nice education & rather superior grades, I suppose that I missed out on a bunch. These afternoons, I’m no longer missing out on using cannabis products. When I retired, I moved to a region where cannabis is legal. On a whim, our fiance Bob suggested that we just go down to the local cannabis spot to see what all the fuss was about. We have a local cannabis spot just a few miles from where we live these afternoons. It’s also right across the street from a single 1 of our preferred diners along a river with a cool boardwalk area. So Bob and I go to the marijuana contractor & are just as upfront as possible about our curiosity. The folks there gave us a sampler of sativa, indica & hybrid strains on sale. And there were a couple of edibles in there as well. Bob and I ended up nibbling on the edible while enjoying the river. That led to the best supper I have had in decades & a taxi ride home. I’m gonna like this cannabis situation plenty.
