I escorted my mother to the cannabis store
My mother was so scared to try anything new. Every time she had to go to a current health worker, or go anywhere strange, she would call and ask me to take him along. She was entirely hard of hearing and barely able to see on top of that, and I gave her comfort. She knew that as long as I was there, she would be perfectly safe. When the health worker told her that medical marijuana could possibly help with her glaucoma, she was happy to hear it. She couldn’t actually believe that she could regain some of her sight, or even stop the loss of sight from becoming much worse. She was distraught about trying medical marijuana. She had never even thought about smoking a cigarette, let alone trying to smoke marijnuana. We ended up walking over to the cannabis dispensary they had just opened up in our town. She wanted me to go along with her so she could walk. She didn’t want to have anyone mess with her in the least, so she called me. Since she couldn’t hear anymore, it was too simple for her to experience an accident. The two of us got to the marijuana dispensary and we showed the medical card. They started explaining the numerous products she could try, but she couldn’t hear them. Once they were able to understand, they brought out a young man who could help her by speaking slowly and doing some sign language on top of that. I told them she was also plagued with vision that was pretty bad, which was why I was there. We ended up getting the help needed at the marijuana dispensary. I sincerely hope medical marijuana is able to help her out.
