My Grandfather was out on his porch and he was smoking some type of cigarette.
Smoking a cigarette is totally common. Grandfather had pretty much always rolled his own cigarettes and relaxed on the porch in his rocker while smoking. Grandma didn’t enjoy the stink of cigarettes in the dwelling. I’m sure she hated it even more now. I could totally smell the marijuana from numerous feet away. It is a very unique smell that is especially strenuous to miss. I smiled and asked if he was having a wonderful day. He laughed and patted the chair next to him. Grandma came out and called him an ancient fool. She told me he had been to a modern healthcare professional who thought marijuana would be a wonderful way to help with his diabetes. They had spent a couple weeks getting the medical marijuana card and then the rest was relatively easy. There was a marijuana dispensary within walking distance of their dwelling. They would go for a walk and get the marijuana products, then they walked back to the dwelling. She said he tried to talk him out of getting the marijuana pre-rolls, but he had to insist. He said he could help his diabetes and nobody would actually believe he was doing anything other than resting on the porch while smoking. Gran said he also purchased a few edibles while in the marijuana dispensary. He liked the whole thought of sitting on the porch with a lollipop. He thought he could convince basically everyone he was trying to quit smoking, just like Kojak. I didn’t truly know who Kojak was, but I was certain he sucked on lollipops so he didn’t need to fret about smoking.
