Are you sure CBD won’t get me arrested?
My best friend brought a bag of gummies to school with her.
I asked why she was bringing candy to school, and she said because lunch didn’t satisfy her.
She needed something to satisfy her sweet tooth before the end of the day. She offered me a couple, and I took three red ones.. I loved cherry and strawberry, and gum drops were my favorite candy. I popped all three gumdrops into my mouth and sat down to do my schoolwork. I didn’t feel anything different until my friend asked me how I was feeling. I told her I felt fine, and wanted to know why. She said she had bought these CBD gumdrops when she was in town. She wanted to bring them to school so we could try them together and maybe get high. I frowned and told her she was stupid. CBD didn’t get you high. THC got you high. CBD was a derivate of the marijuana plant that did not have any hallucinogenic properties. She looked at me and asked if I was sure about that, and I told her yes. My dad gave me CBD gummies for the pain when I broke my ankle. It worked better than over-the-counter pain killers and they were safer. Since my dad was a pharmacist, I was sure he knew what he was talking about. Her shoulders slumped and she said she was bummed. I thought she was happy to know CBD was as legal as a vitamin, but she didn’t want to hear it. She asked if I was sure that CBD wouldn’t get her arrested, and I laughed. I told her it wouldn’t get her arrested any sooner than if she flunked the calculus test she was trying to avoid.
