The program was a tremendous success, producing an unbelievable amount of tax revenue for the state. Sadly, the cost of owning a card coupled with the fees to get the health worker recommendation made the program terribly hard to afford for many people. That is why the state pushed a great deal to legalize recreational marijuana, effectively putting the medicine in people’s hands without too much hassle. It’s entirely amazing having many different cannabis dispensaries to choose from in my community. When I hear about new cannabis dispensaries opening in our county, I get extremely excited as well as make plans to check out the store whenever it opens.
