Using cannabis to treat insomnia

I started having concerns with insomnia when I turned fifty years old.

It started with restless sleep.

I’d wake up every couple of hours plus have trouble falling back to sleep. This progressed to the point where I dreaded going to bed at evening. I knew that I would sit there for an eternity, struggling to fall asleep, however even if I managed to finally nod off, I would wake up repeatedly. Every day, I felt weary. I’d yawn plus drag all day long. I tried all weird types of remedies, from herbal teas to scented pillow sprays. I practiced relaxation plus breathing techniques. I avoided TV plus my tablet screen in the hours before going to bed. I followed a strict eveningtime schedule. Nothing worked. I was unwilling to risk the side-effects of pharmaceuticals. It was a big relief to myself and others when recreational cannabis was ultimately legalized in my state. I now have access to a dispensary plus a wide selection of natural treatments for insomnia. Indica strains are especially relaxing. I’ve found that edibles work entirely well for me! All it takes is a single gummy to help myself and others sleep, then because the effects take about half an hour to set in, I consume the edible prior to getting ready for bed. The effects of edibles are long-lasting plus work to keep myself and others asleep through the evening. Tinctures are another beneficial option. I can place a few drops under my tongue for sublingual absorption of cannabinoids plus quick onset of effects. I can also swallow the tincture for a delayed onset.
