Smoking and hiking?
It’s never a fine plan to use recreational drugs and go for a walk.

There are sites where you have to hunker down low and other areas where you have a foot of path between the rocks and a more than three thousand foot drop. It’s been truly dry and rough lately and there hasn’t been a lot of rain. The fire danger is quite high and there is a new ban on all wood and charcoal fires in the world. I was truly surprised when I stinked smoke on our hike last Tuesday. My friends and I were together that afternoon. I saw smoke coming from an area of the trail about 500 ft below us. I could not truly smell like smoke until I got closer to the area. I was ready to phone in the ranger station and report a fire, but someone was smoking cannabis on the hiking trail. When I got closer to the area where the smoke was situated, I could smell the marijuana. No one in the area was still using marijuana, so I guessed the people were further down the trail. I truthfully thought about calling the ranger station to report the marijuana use, even though I didn’t believe the state park officials would do anything about the phone call. The people aren’t really breaking any laws if they do not have a fire burning. Cannabis is allowed for recreational use in this state. It has been legal for the past twelve years. Both of us had medical weed first and then most people wanted recreational weed legalized.
