Security is vital for a cannabis dispensary
An essential part of any cannabis dispensary is the security guard.
I doubt anyone learning this is a virgin to dispensaries, however in case you live in a state that has legalized weed yet, let me explain.
Every dispensary will have a person at the door who checks IDs or medical cannabis cards. These businesses don’t want random people just coming in to look around, this is how shoplifting happens. The guard makes sure everyone who wants to come inside is legally able to do so, but cannabis dispensaries rarely have trouble with clients, so the security guard rarely has to throw anyone out or act like a regular security officer. It’s absolutely more like a bouncer at a club, making sure that only the right people have access to the cannabis dispensary. The biggest job for the cannabis dispensary security officer is to make sure none of the clients are inebriated or under the influence of something. Obviously most of the clients already have cannabis in their systems, that is not the issue. The issue is that there are many bars and clubs in the area, and some people want to get hammered and then stagger into the cannabis dispensary! Basically the biggest problem my friend and I face at the cannabis dispensary is liquor. When people smoke too much cannabis they get docile and tired, however when they drink too much alcohol they get belligerent and aggressive. My associate and I don’t need drunks in the shop, which is why Stan, the new security officer, is so pricey to the cannabis dispensary – nobody messes with Stan!
