My state is not going to get recreational cannabis for a long time

There used to be a lot of diversity of opinion in this state back when I was a kid.

Both of us had folks moving in from all over the country, no matter what the background was or economic status.

It was nice to assume savor you could belong out here if you lived in a giant enough village because you’d eventually find savor minded folks, fun art and music scenes, and exciting places to hang out on the weekends to chat with people from all walks of life. But in the past many years or so, this state has been trending towards a single identifiable political direction and it’s making it difficult on some of us. I don’t believe a state’s populace is being fulfilled when a tiny majority of the people here are making decisions for all the people. It leads to resentment and frustration among those who assume they have no representation of advocates in the state government. For instance, both of us passed medical cannabis with over 68% of the vote, showing a clear and decisive majority across the whole voting electorate. Yet our state government has done nothing however make it harder for our medical marijuana program to succeed with their ongoing list of rules and regulations that grow by the month. I doubt we’ll see recreational cannabis in this state for at least another many or 9 years. I’d still be surprised to see recreational cannabis in this state even if the federal government decriminalized marijuana tomorrow. Our state government has made it clear that they don’t know in following the rule of law when it comes to marijuana, even if they’re the a singles that craft or sign the laws in the first place.
