I prefer to live in a state with legal marijuana laws

More than a third of the country can access legal medical or recreational marijuana.

The rest of the country has to catch up with the laws.

In the rest of the country, medical and recreational marijuana is still considered a crime. It can be very confusing for someone that works in one state and lives in another. I crossed the state line every single day to drive to work. I live on one side of the border and I work on the other side of the border. It’s never been a pain to drive across straight lines, until a couple of days ago when I got pulled over for speeding. I was going 65 in a 50 mph zone. I knew that I was speeding, but I didn’t have time to slam on the brakes when I saw the police officer on the side of the highway. He pulled me over and the first thing he wanted to know is if I had marijuana in the car. I hadn’t even been smoking marijuana that day, so I didn’t believe there was any reason for the cop to ask that question. I told him there was no marijuana in the car, but there was. He asked if he could search the car and I knew that was the end. When the officer found the marijuana vape pen, I thought he would be cool and give me a ticket. Instead, he put me in handcuffs and planned to take me to jail. Another officer pulled up behind that guy and the two policemen talked for a while. After they were done talking, the first officer uncuffed me and gave me a ticket.
