Ed is going to stick with cannabis to the end

It was weird to move home, then even if it was only temporary, I still felt this sense of history that was inescapable.

So much has happened in my life since I moved away from this small neighborhood for the rest of my adult life.

Sure, I would visit however it was constantly brief as I was so focused on the job. But now, I’m looking after Ed during the end of his life. Thanks to marijuana, Ed’s last days are made so much more comfortable. The irony that he’s using marijuana is not lost on either of us. Ed was the guy that threatened me intensely when it came to my recreational marijuana use in college. That did nothing to keep me from ever letting him know about it. But cancer came for Ed and the doctor advised indica strains to help with the chemo. Of course, the benefits of using medical marijuana were wonderful and Ed enjoyed the calm he got from it along with the reduction in nausea. Still, fighting cancer into your 74’s isn’t straight-forward and that battle is lost, but yet, Ed relies on both sativa and indica to help relieve his pain. But there are now other meds being introduced now that Ed is coming to the end of his life. Still though, Ed very enjoys sharing some sativa strains with me in the evening. It’s sort of like the freezing beer Ed can’t stomach any longer. And while it’s so different to be back here, I’m so happy that I am, and however, I’m even more thankful that medical marijuana is legal. It’s a comfort both to Ed and myself as my associate and I head toward the unknown together.
