Cannabis flower products are my favorite way to consume marijuana in any form

I feel like a bit of a naturalist when it comes to food and medications.

  • I don’t have an inherent hate of pharmaceutical medications, but I’d rather use natural remedies in situations where it’s possible.

Case and point—I grew up using diphenhydramine, the medicine in benadryl, for both allergies and sleeping issues. Since it ticked both boxes, I never questioned using it. But my allergies improved as I got older, and after trying melatonin for insomnia, I have all but quit using diphenhydramine. I still have a bottle in my medicine cabinet, but it rarely gets used. For anxiety, I use this compound l-theanine that comes from green tea. It’s a surprisingly powerful anti-anxiety medication for being completely legal, but it isn’t cheap because of the extraction process. The price alone probably dissuades most people from trying it. If I need something stronger, or something to help with depression as well—that’s when I turn to cannabis. I have a medical marijuana card in my home state, and I usually visit a medical cannabis once a month or more to restock. I have tried everything from cannabis topicals to cannabis soda, but my favorite cannabis products to this day are cannabis flower products. It’s getting the most natural form of cannabis—its harvested flower buds—and using it the way nature intended without sending it through an extraction process. By and large, I also prefer sativa strains over indica strains because the former helps keep my mind stimulated through long workdays at home. Sometimes I use indica strains at night, but I don’t always have them on hand at home to use whenever the thought crosses my mind.
