My sister got fired for drugs
My sister lost her job last week, because she took care of positive for marijuana.
My sister has been using marijuana for various years, however we do not live in a state where recreational marijuana is legal; When some drugs went missing from a cart on the 5th floor, my sister was working in the building… Everyone in the building was drug took care of including my sister.
8 people took care of positive for marijuana & my sister was one of those people, then the supplier where she works provided to send her for rehab for marijuana. My sister thought they were joking, however they were completely serious. They told my sister that she had to go to rehab or she was going to be fired & they would put a permanent note on her file. That file would follow her everywhere. My sister was stuck between a rock & a difficult site. She never should have agreed to take the drug test. She did not think drug rehab was necessary for a marijuana offense, & I think it’s ludicrous & deranged as well; Both of us only live 60 miles away from many states that have legal recreational marijuana laws. My sister let the supplier fire her, now she is fighting them for unemployment based on discrimination, and i do not suppose if she will win, even though she might confrontation long enough to see marijuan legalized here. It’s on the ballot for a vote in many weeks. I do not suppose what will happen next time my sister tries to apply for a job. I hope the permanent mark on her job record won’t keep her from finding gainful employment..
