The success or failure of a movie night may not seem like a big deal, but to my friend group it is. We started our weekly movie night during the pandemic, because it was an easy way to spend time together online. Once the lockdown ended, we kept the tradition going in person. We take turns hosting, but whoever hosts is expected to do things the right way, or face harassment and heckling from everyone else. Like the time Katie forgot to get any drinks, or when Carmen didn’t realize until everyone showed up that she was out of cannabis. If I wanted to watch a movie without cannabis I would pay the small fortune to go to the movie theater! After that everyone started bringing their own marijuana treats to movie night, which is really what we should have done all along. I always bring smoke, because that’s my jam but other people bring pilot brownies, edibles, or even vape pens. I am not a huge fan of cannabis vape cartridges, but the last couple of movie nights might have changed my mind! In any event, a nice variety of cannabis products is a perfect accompaniment to a good movie. If there are kids there that night, then I will just stay home because the movie just isn’t the same without some cannabis to go with it.
