Medical cannabis provides me with the pain relief that I need
The days of feeling totally bullet proof are pretty much over.
- And it took a near devastating injury for me to see the obvious.
I don’t really know, I’ve just consistently felt as though I wouldn’t come to any harm in the least. Horrible accidents and injuries happened to other people. Well, thanks to medical marijuana, I am easily able to manage the pain from what is my first severe injury. I broke both legs and my back during a fall. This actually happened on a hike when I got somewhat brave on an exposed rock face. I ended up falling close to seventy feet. Thus, the terrible injuries. Medical cannabis didn’t come into play for a good amount of time. Initially, there were surgeries and such and I was kept undoubtedly doped up on high powered pain killers. Yet, the longer I took the opioids, the more dependent I became on them and the more it took to find any sort of relief also. This was a major red flag for me. I was not about to become addicted to something like opioids. After talking with my doctor about this, I decided to go to the legal weed store to try cannabis as an alternative pain manager. Man, am I ever glad that I made that choice. The process of recovery hasn’t been really straight-forward and the physical therapy can result in all sorts of pain and severe stiffness. The cannabis products I got at the cannabis store undoubtedly came through for me. It undoubtedly helps me to manage the pain in a way that leaves me completely in control and not addicted to a substance. Additionally the cannabis products kind of supply me a spiritual and emotional lift too.
