I’m really thankful to have medical cannabis for my pain
The days of feeling absolutely bullet proof are easily over.
And it took a near horrendous injury for me to see what was obvious. I don’t know, I’ve just constantly felt as though I wouldn’t ever be injured in a serious manner. Bad accidents & injuries happened to other people. Well, thanks to medical marijuana, I am actually able to manage the pain from what is my first intense injury. I broke both legs & my back while in a fall. It happened on a hike when I got a little brave on an exposed rock face. I ended up falling about seventy feet. Thus, the extreme injuries. Medical cannabis didn’t come into play for a pretty good amount of time. Initially, there were surgeries & such & I was kept severely doped up on painkillers. Yet, the longer I took the opioids, the more dependent I became on them & the more it took to find true relief. This was such a red flag for me. I was not about to become addicted to opioids. After talking with my healthcare worker, I decided to go to the legal weed store to try cannabis as an alternative pain reliever. Man, am I ever happy that I went with that choice. The recovery hasn’t been simple whatsoever & the physical therapy can result in a good amount of pain & stiffness. The cannabis products I got at the cannabis store actually came through for me. It really helps me to manage the pain in a way that leaves me in total control & not addicted to any sort of horrible substance. Additionally the cannabis products provide me a spiritual & emotional lift as well.
