I just wanted my mother to be comfortable during her fight with cancer
It’s not even easy to be this age and watch your parents worsen due to age and health drawbacks. But, it’s also part of life. My dad died roughly over a year ago and my mom is currently dealing with cancer. It may or may not be the end of the road for my mom. That is just the way it goes with cancer patients. However, as her son, I definitely want to make her as comfortable as possible. It took some convincing but with the help of her oncologist, I managed to get her to try medical cannabis. In our state both medical cannabis and recreational marijuana are actually legal. I’m totally grateful for that. I enjoy cannabis products and have for a good part of my life. It’s just especially nice to be able to go to a legal weed store to shop for cannabis products. I appreciate cannabis flower products but I knew my mom would never smoke anything in the slightest. This honestly is ironic since she’s dealing with lung cancer. So once she was eventually on board, I decided to venture over to the cannabis dispensary and picked up some cannabis gummies. I was sure to get the dosage exactly right and provided it to my mom. It was the very first time since her treatment started that she easily wished to eat. Prior, it had been a fight just to get a small amount of food in her. However with the medical marijuana, she genuinely had an appetite. Additionally, it really helped with nausea and severe pain. The future isn’t for certain and whether she winds up beating this cancer at her old age is sort of beside the point. The point is that she needs to be comfortable with a good quality of life from here on out.
