Coast to coast road trip needs more cannabis
The plan was to drive from coast to coast, taking as many pit stops and detours as we could along the way.
I was freshly retired, my wife had been for a couple of years, and we had the money and a nice RV, so we decided to get lost in America for a while.
We found it to be the greatest time of our lives, and the trip we thought might take a few weeks sprawled out into six months. This was not a problem in terms of finances, we could live on the road forever, but we had burned through our entire medical cannabis supply. My wife and I both have prescriptions for medical cannabis, and have been using it for years. Where we live, you don’t even need a medical cannabis prescription to go into a dispensary, because recreational use has also been made legal. So back home, it’s not a big deal, but we are finding that in other states cannabis dispensaries are a lot harder to find. We found one, but they needed a referral from a local doctor, and wouldn’t even accept the medical cannabis prescriptions that we already had. A few days later, after stopping or calling fifteen different cannabis dispensaries, we found a very cool guy who owned his own place. He agreed to look at our medical cannabis prescriptions, and then call the doctor to confirm, and then he would fill them. While we waited, we loaded up on CBD products, which were very legal, just in case we ran out of pot again.
