A busy job to have
I started working at a cannabis dispensary during the week.
- I was really overwhelmed when I started, because I do not know a bunch about cannabis.
I applied for the task, because I have a lot of customer experience. The cannabis dispensary was offering a starting salary of $17.50 an hour. There aren’t a lot of options that I will not do for that minutely wage. Monday was a truly long day and I felt out of place. Most of the afternoon I stood around seeing other people work. I was supposed to understand about medical and recreational marijuana, but really I learned how to use the cash register. On Sunday, I came to the store and spent all day at a register. It wasn’t a lot of fun, even though I got to interact with people instead of laying around. On Tuesday, the boss sent me downstairs to help unload the stockroom truck. It took 3 hours to unload and organize all of the supplies. When I came back from dinner, the boss wanted me to go to the stockroom so I could find the live resin products. I looked all over the stockroom, even though I could not find the item that she proposed. I spent 3 hours that afternoon organizing everything, even though I could not find one easy product when the boss sent me downstairs. I really felt like an idiot until the boss realized the live resin was already unpacked and inside the cooler. She apologized for the confusion and for sending me on a wild goose chase. Thankfully, the rest of the month has been more silent.
